The High Court issued a Rule Nisi to show cause as to why the extraction of sands from the river Padma at Charghat Upazilla of Rajshahi District should not be declared to be without lawful authority and why it should not be issued upon the respondents to assess the damages caused by such sand extraction and realize the compensation from the identified miscreants.
