Facts

The Petitioners are the members of the Stranded Pakistanis Youth Repatriation Movement, a non-political organisation. In 1972, with the help of the International Committee of Red Cross they created close 66 camps in different parts of Bangladesh for their Safety and Security and they were named the Stranded Pakistanis. The Community conducted their business by small squatter shops for their livelihood and passed their days under threat of Legal eviction from their respective residences and shops without any reasonable cause or issuance of any notice or arranging any alternative accommodation or repatriation or other settlement.

On 02.08.2003 the Respondents are directed not to disturb the Petitioners, the Stranded Pakistanis to rebuild their demolished houses, shops etc. in the A.D.C. Non-Local Relief Camp Mirpur, Dhaka.
